Career
Klaus-Peter Hennig (born 1948) trained as an industrial clerk at the firm of Gildemeister in Bielefeld, Germany before going on to study business administration and social economy at the University of Bielefeld.
From 1977 to 1990 Mr. Hennig worked in various capacities for the North Rhine Westphalia district of the German Trades Union Federation (DGB). From 1990 to 1994 he was head of department in the Düsseldorf office of the executive committee of IG Metall (metalworkers’ union).
In 1994 he was appointed member of the Executive Board and labor director of ThyssenKrupp Nirosta GmbH. Since October 01, 2002 Mr. Hennig has additionally been a member of the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Stainless AG.
